Title : Licensed Practical Nurse Department : Center for Healing (Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program) Job Location : 190 Mercer Street, 4th floor Job Status : Full-Time Availability : Monday - Friday 6:15am-1:45pm and every other Saturday 8:15am-12:15pm. Compensatory time for Saturdays worked. Position Summary The MMTP LPN dispenses medication to patients with opioid use disorder and is an active participant of the interdisciplinary treatment team in the provision of medical and clinical services. Primary Responsibilities: Dispenses and administers prescribed medication; maintains accountability, adequate record keeping, and documentation. Assessment and verification of last methadone dose for patients returning from the hospital, detox, etc. Carries out MD/PA orders, and assist during crisis, emergencies, and other procedures. Works collaboratively with Physician, Director, and other staff as part of the treatment team. Participates in clinic meetings, and interdisciplinary case conferences with clinical staff. Assist in coordination of medication deliveries for appropriate patients, as indicated. Assess patients and provide patient care within scope of practice. Promotes a positive, constructive clinic atmosphere. Knowledgeable of all state and federal regulations and accreditation standards as well as program policies and procedures and the role of a nurse in its operations, including confidentiality and HIPAA requirements. All other duties as required by the supervisor. Inter Relationships: Interacts with all levels of personnel within the organization and maintains external business relationships within the social services community. Listens, understands and appreciates the worth/value of clients. Establishes rapport and trusting relationships with clients and counselors. Provides a positive role model. Inspires confidence, determination and trust in clients and counselors. Establishes working relationships with other staff members, and work as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Makes rational and realistic decisions, based on logical assumptions which reflect factual information and consideration of organizational resources; and when to affirm these decisions. Qualifications: License to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State or Licensed Practical Nurse meeting above criteria within 3 years. 2 years' experience in a substance abuse services environment preferred. Demonstrates clinical competence and leadership traits (e.g., decision making ability, skills in problem solving and communication, prioritizing and team building) Vaccination Requirement: Greenwich House requires all new hires to be vaccinated and recommends all employees, interns, volunteers, and on-site contractors stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines (including booster shots).
