Overview Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in search of an Informatics Specialist to join our Quality Department! The Informatics Specialist will manage out-patient clinics electronic health record as well as assist with inpatient IT/Informatics project rollouts. This position will develop and implement a successful and effective training program for the use of our electronic health record (EHR) system. As an Informatics Specialist, this individual will configure and enable functionalities within the EHR to assist users with tracking and maintaining clinical care for patients. The individual will ensure that all users for all levels are optimizing the systems functionality and utilizing the system to intended capabilities to maximize efficiency. A key purpose of this position is to ensure that all users are trained and equipped to provide excellent clinical care through the utilization of the electronic health record. This individual will develop training and facilitate training strategies and plan project initiatives working with clinical, patient access, and others to optimize the system. This will be an in-person on-site position. This is a Full-Time position (PT available). Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Temporary needs. Responsibilities Maintain EMR superuser status Work with users to define system requirements for data elements and successful integration into workflow. Ensure consistency of methods and practices at each site Assist to perform workflow analysis of healthcare provider activities and translate into optimal system design and content for outpatient and multispecialty practices. Facilitate with the practice team members in the specification and design of the eCW for order management, clinical data repository, documentation, clinical pathways, and clinical and operational decision support. Work with educational resources to develop training curriculum and end-user documentation and learning aids. Act as an expert resource to the staff by anticipating and identifying educational, procedural, and functional problems associated with the daily use of the eCW. Train, educate, and instruct clinical users on features, operation, and usage of software systems. Assist staff in making the transition from current to automated systems processes. Manage, trouble shoot, apply resolution and provide prompt feedback to end users on Service Requests. Deliver training in a group classroom setting, online, or on a one-to-one basis. Participate in developing training and web-based training curriculum. Assist with the development and maintenance of education tools including reference tools, practice exercises, and assessments utilizing a variety of formats. Able to advise end-users, including Practitioners and others concerning the purpose, features, functions, and uses of applications. Participate in assigned workgroups to assist with workflow observations and recommendations. Participate in determining appropriate training for new functionalities/workflows based on needs and objectives. Participate in the analysis of potential application modifications, upgrades, replacements, or additions that result from changing business conditions or availability of new technology. Conduct functionality application testing and completion of test plans. Assists in the personalization of systems Maintain expertise and competence in the assigned software applications. Maintain appropriate instructor manuals, training materials, and job aids. Develop and implement Train the Trainer programs to Super Users Qualifications Associates' Degree, certification or IT/Informatics experience in project rollout and/or training
