Signicast doesn't just invest in you- we help you invest in a future! We are looking for a results-driven individual, responsible for launching new products in a job shop-type environment. A highly positive 'we can do it' approach is required. This individual will manage projects from the design stage, all the way through the shipping of quality production castings. Includes tooling, fixtures, gauging, production routings, schedules, dimensional approval, costs, profitability, and customer contact and correspondence. What qualifications are we looking for: BS in Mechanical or Metallurgical or Material Science Engineering degree 2 plus years of hands-on experience Excellent problem-solving and project management skills Knowledge of continuous flow manufacturing principles and machining a plus PC knowledge, including MS Office, 3D solid modeling (SolidCast), Unigraphics or ProE, CAD, and Blueprint reading This individual must possess the following personal traits: Results driven, the desire to excel, high energy, a positive approach - flexible, detail-oriented, ability to handle a large volume of projects, and possess strong leadership skills. In addition, the Project Engineer will participate in foundry-related process improvement projects, investigate and correct quality-related issues, and train team members on the technical aspects of producing quality ferrous/stainless investment castings. The Project Engineer will be expected to interact with and make recommendations to management to resolve casting issues including alloy selection, design improvements, and post-cast process steps.
