Company Description Calvert City Animal Hospital is a well-established, progressive, single doctor small animal practice that spans two locations. We are committed to providing the highest and most innovative standards of care to our patients and their owners. We are a full-service small animal practice that sees mostly dogs and cats. Some of the services we offer are in-house bloodwork, digital x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, dental prophylaxis, and surgery (including routine, elective and advanced soft tissue surgeries). Our hours of operation are Mondays, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and closed on weekends currently with the potential to offer weekend services. Our team is fantastic and made up of experienced and supportive individuals who enjoy having fun and working hard together. Our hospital is located 20 minutes outside of Paducah - a cozy community in western Kentucky, halfway between St. Louis, MO and Nashville, TN. If you enjoy history and museums, we have a quite a few to visit: William Clark Market House, Paducah Railroad Museum, Lloyd Tilghman House, and Civil War Museum to name a few. Job Description We're looking for: Part Time or Full Time Veterinarian Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator Proficient in general medicine and surgery Experience preferred but new graduates seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply! Ear plugs will be available upon request. + Job requires sufficient ambulatory skills in order to perform required duties while working. + Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds. + Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate other equipment as required. + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. + Hospital teammates are routinely exposed to a variety of animals that may bite, kick or scratch, and on occasion, may be exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological or zoonotic hazards and/or medication/controlled substances.
