Check us out online: Job Description Purpose of Position: Entry level clinician to provide inpatient admission assessment, treatment plan, clinical progress note documentation. Develop/ implement daily therapy group programming for inpatient units that includes weekend coverage. Responsibilities: Provide a variety of therapy sessions that engages patients and provide positive therapeutic patient experience. Perform required daily group programing that meet the needs of acute psychiatric population I CPEP and on inpatient unit. Perform required assessments & clinical documentation. Perform group & documentation coverage for CPEP inpatient units when needed to maintain adequate group programming and documentation. Able to supervise students/ designated staff. Maintain supplies & group room as needed for sessions according to regulation Minimum Qualifications Assignment Level I 1. A valid License or Limited Permit issued by the New York State Education Department to practice as a Creative Arts Therapist. Employees working with a Limited Permit must obtain Licensure within two years from their date of appointment. Assignment Level II 1. A valid License issued by the New York State Education Department to practice as a Creative Arts Therapist; and 2. Two years of full-time, paid, professional experience in creative arts therapy. Assignment Level III In addition to meeting the requirements for Assignment Levels II, Assignment Level III requires: 1. One additional year of experience. Department Preferences Experience in inpatient psychiatry, crisis management, and providing patient-centered group therapy sessions Weekends and evenings are required, Tuesday - Saturday schedule preferred.
