Job Title: Local Contract - MRI Tech N umber of positions: 3 Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Day shifts- 40 hours Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 03/31/2024 Hourly pay: $55.69 OT : 1.5 Weekly Pay : $2,088.38 JOB DESCRIPTION Summary Department : Magnetic Resonance Imaging Shift timings : 14:30 - 23:00 Mon, Thurs, Friday (5 Days/8 Hours) M-F no weekends, no call Per Week: 40 Hours Roles & Responsibilities Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body. Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination. Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction toappropriate personnel. Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Minimum Qualifications MRI experience, GE preferred ARMRIT or ARRT MRI Searching for a candidate who enjoys working with others but also thrives while working independently. Must have a good work ethic and critical thinking skills. Minimum one year experience required. QUALIFICATIONS BLS and ACLS National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of current MRI Tech experience. Graduate from a fully accredited MRI Tech program Active unencumbered Connecticut MRI Tech state license One year of Cerner experience ARRT Certification Requirements • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
