Our Flex Team offers support and provides flexibility for our team to help you do what YOU do best, provide care for our patients! DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The primary mission of Central Staffing Office (CSO) is to provide high quality, safe and effective patient care, by providing supplemental staffing resources to nursing unit's hospital-wide, on an anticipated and unanticipated basis, with the primary focus on patients and families. Our vision is to provide Baystate Medical Center (BMC) with flexible staffing solutions in support of the organization's mission. The Float Pool provides the opportunity for nurses to work throughout BMC, in a variety of nursing units, including surgical, medical, critical care, inter-care and others. CSO is an internal float pool aimed at promoting professional nursing, while utilizing a nurse's flexibility, expertise and experience. The CSO provides an ideal setting for nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) who would like the opportunity to work in a variety of areas in which they possess the experience and skill competency. SCHEDULE: Part-Time The CSO is designed for flexibility in scheduling and offers a variety of employment opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS: Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required. Experience: Minimum 2 years acute care experience with the last 12 months working in area of specialty (i.e. neuro, cardiovascular/telemetry, trauma, intermediate care, med-surg, ICU, Etc.) Willing to float to more than one area and be flexible. Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.
