Intern, Optical Lab Support

Responsibilities : Work as lab technician to support leading-edge research in augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) display hardware Setup & align optical components and visually evaluate images quality Program and debug the drivers of latest microdisplay panels; conduct demo system maintenance and bug fixing Repetitively use digital microscope to image materials samples and identify sub-micron size features Communicate complex ideas and testing results effectively, both orally and in writing Provide general lab support to optics and materials team Qualifications : BS degree in engineering from a major university Passion to learn and explore latest technologies in displays and metaverse Proficient in Microsoft Windows operation system and Office 365 suits Willing to learn following programming languages: Python, Matlab, and/or image analysis software Hands-on experience with optical system setup, alignment, and optical characterization is a plus Deep understanding of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems Excellent oral and written communication skills
