A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CYTOTECHNOLOGIST As a Cytotechnologist, you will provide preparation and accurate microscopic screening of gynecological specimens for the purpose of detecting and diagnosing the presence or absence of cancerous and pre-cancerous cell changes and other pathological conditions. You will provide clinicians with accurate results in a timely manner to assist them with optimal patient care. You will also Screen and evaluate gynecological cytology slides (using SurePath and ThinPrep methodology) Perform daily quality control Participate in proficiency testing Participate in document control and re-screening Comply with state and federal regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a Science related field and successful completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program CAP accredited cytology certification ASCP certification 3 years clinical experience preferred WORK SCHEDULE This full-time Cytotechnologist position typically works 8 to 5, Monday-Friday READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
