At Behavioral Perspective (BPI), you can become a Behavior Technician and help provide much needed therapy services to children, teens, and young adults with Autism. Don't worry, all of the training you need is provided with the support of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), who are professionals in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Behavior Technicians (BTs) are paraprofessionals certified in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) serving clients with Autism. BTs assist in delivering behavior-analytic services and practice under the direction and close supervision of a Behavior Technician Manager, Clinical Director, and BCBA. We are looking for RBTs of all levels of experience! We will provide training for entry-level technicians, and we offer tiered BT positions for already certified technicians. Provide 1:1 and group ABA services and programs as instructed by clinical supervisors in both clinic and in-home settings Collect, record, and summarize data on programming as directed by clinical supervisors Maintain professional interactions regularly with families at the clinic and in-home Assist with pick-up and drop-off of clients at the clinic Adhere to behavior intervention plans accurately and appropriately, as designed and trained by clinical supervisors Perform basic childcare responsibilities, including but not limited to: changing diapers, changing soiled clothing, assisting with feeding, assisting with dressing Complete written summaries, graph data, convert timesheets, and organize session materials Collaborate with team including client, parents and caregivers, co-workers, clinical supervisors, and managers Attend and actively participate in all applicable training opportunities and meetings Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment to provide an efficient and safe environment for employees and clients both in clinic and in-home sessions Maintain regular and reliable attendance practices Comply with all regulations pertaining to HIPAA and protecting PHI (private health information) Adhere to behavioral health plans developed by clinical supervisors Provide crisis intervention as needed Assist in increasing functional communication skills (spoken language, sign language, and/or alternative communication methods) Facilitate independence in daily living skills, including but not limited to personal care and toileting Assist in decreasing behaviors that interfere with learner success, such as aggression or self-injury Maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up Communicate all concerns and suggestions regarding client care to clinical supervisors Submit ideas for therapy plans, clinic structure, and other company initiatives Participate in company surveys, events, and meetings as requested We are looking for people who have: Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance practices. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by the code of ethics as indicated by the BACB Commitment to ongoing training and development as it related to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standards Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols Flexibility in scheduling to prioritize services for clients as needed for coverage in the event of employee absences Must be able to pass a background check upon accepting a job offer, including criminal history, MVR history, and abuse and neglect registry checks Receive and maintain an active RBT certification through the BACB (training provided) Receive and maintain an active QBS certification, as needed Receive and maintain an active CPR and First Aid certification, as needed High school diploma or equivalent (required) Associates degree or higher in a human services field (preferred) 1-2 years of experience working in ABA or similar human services field (preferred) Physical Requirements: This is a very active role, requiring the following physical abilities: ability to stand, walk sit, kneel, spin, crawl, bend to floor, squat, run, climb stairs, reach, grab, push, and pull Must be able to see, feel, hear, and speak Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
