Responsibilities: Under indirect supervision, provide independent primary care in a correctional healthcare setting to a specified population of non-emergency patients Perform medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation, and health education Obtain patient histories and develop patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR format Supervise and/or coordinate the activities of patient care and/or support staff Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions Prescribe medications and other treatments Participate in planning programs and in developing specific health polices and procedures Qualifications: Current license as a Nurse Practitioner Current CPR certification, ACLS certification preferred Two (2) years of experience as a NP Proficient with electronic medical records Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen At Armor Health we are raising the standard of care to impact the lives of those we serve by partnering with exceptional correctional organizations to improve health care outcomes.
