Job Summary: The Clinic LPN shall begin the implementation of the nursing process as delegated by the Physician/ FNP but not limited to patient care documentation, direct observation and patient process evaluations. Performs under the direct supervision of the Clinic/Office Manager and is delegated to achieve quality patient care and job performance. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with employees and family members of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Assist with clinical operations to include education and clerical responsibilities. Performance Expectations: Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development Possesses the ability to read data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described by the physician in charge. Demonstrates the ability to assist with a variety of procedures, exams and/or operations of diagnostic equipment. Demonstrates the appropriate aseptic technique for preparation, procedures, and medications administered. Follows all policies regarding clinic operations and patient care. Maintains a clean, orderly, safe environment for patients and personnel. Ensures patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Makes accurate documentation in electronic medical record. Responds to patient communication in a timely manner. Safely and accurately administers medications. Efficiently executes point of care testing and accurately documents results. Demonstrates appropriate behavior both at work and away from facility that will positively reflect on profession as well as facility and organization. Behavior must coincide with facility's Code of Conduct as well as the State Board of Nursing. Adheres to and promotes the established values of the organization, i.e., We CARE, Language of Caring, ACO, safety, compliance standards and all others. Qualifications: Education/Skills Graduate of a recognized non-online LPN Program required. Work Experience: Experience in a primary care, urgent care or specialty clinic. Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE Licensed LPN able to practice within the State of MS Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below Basic Life Support Within 30 Days of Employment Required IV Certification Within 1 Year of Employment Preferred TB Certification Within 1 Year of Employment Preferred Mental Demands: Must enjoy people and desire to assist doctors/nurse practitioners, patients, fellow employees and staff. Must exercise a high degree of tact, poise and patience. Necessary to understand medical terminology and apply as it relates to the admission and documentation of the patient's medical visit. Clerical ability is required to avoid errors when completing medical documents. Preference for communication of ideas, presenting information to patients, medical personnel and management is needed.
