About the Position Maximus administers the Independent Practitioner Panel, which completes assessment reviews and issues practitioner orders for New Yorkers who qualify for long-term in-home care. Position Responsibilities Create and develop a training curriculum and training materials based on proven adult learning techniques including ADDIE, Rapid Course Development, and Adult Learning Theory Create and develop training scenarios and update comprehensive training environment data resources to ensure that systems training mimics the production environment systems tools used by employees on a daily basis Work extensively with business partners and SMEs to perform needs analysis, develop learning objectives and design deliverables that meet learner and stakeholder needs and organizational quality standards develop qualitative and quantitative assessment tools to measure learner requirements, competencies, and organizational quality standards Teach instructional programs in accordance with training or other course requirements and organize materials to be presented Develop assessments to measure and assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and learner performance in the workplace, integrate results into new and existing course curriculum Review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed curriculums and recommend changes to policies and procedures as applicable Required Experience 2+ years formalized training or preceptor experience in a professional work environment Experience designing remote learning Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing, Education, Social Work/Mental Health 2+ years' work experience in training clinical staff, in a remote environment Home Office Requirements Cell Phone: Candidates must have their own cell phone Computer Equipment: Will be provided company-issued computer equipment Internet: Reliable high-speed internet service with 100 Mbps download speed Additional Requirements All candidates must have or be able to obtain a New York State Identification Card or Driver's License Job Summary Education and Experience Requirements This position provides training for the Independent Practitioner Panel. Clinical Training Specialists plan and coordinate training and development activities. Incumbents evaluate training effectiveness and adapt methods and material accordingly. Specialists are able to work independently or collaboratively with leadership, colleagues, and with program staff. An incumbent in this position is a team-player who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a supportive presence to their job responsibilities both in the classroom and when collaborating with the training team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Create and develop training curriculum and training materials based on proven adult learning techniques including ADDIE, Rapid Course Development, and Adult Learning Theory - Create and develop training scenarios and updates comprehensive training environment data resources to ensure that systems training mimics the production environment systems tools used by employees daily - Work extensively with business partners and SMEs to perform needs analysis, develop learning objectives, and design deliverables that meet learner and stakeholder needs and organizational quality standards develop qualitative and quantitative assessment tools to measure learner requirements, competencies, and organizational quality standards - Teach instructional programs in accordance with training or other course requirements and organize materials to be presented - Develop assessments to measure and assess effectiveness of the curriculum and learner performance in the workplace, integrate results into new and existing course curriculum - Review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed curriculums and recommend changes to policies and procedures as applicable - Develop and create training resources and maintain/update systems training environment and library of training resources to align with operational excellence - Designs and develops e-learning and blended learning content and ensure future accessibility of training materials. - Supports the design, deployment, and on-going maintenance of the Learning Management System. - Monitors content for consistency, accuracy, clarity, ease-of-navigation and evolving best practices for user experience and interface. - Designs, and develops ongoing training materials for system enhancements, releases, clinical initiatives, and workflows. - Consults with internal stakeholders to identify new requirements and strategies - Captures and diagrams workflow processes - Performs other duties as may be assigned by Management Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree required - Master's Degree in Nursing or Education preferred - RN licensure required - NYS Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required - Preferred Specialties for Nurse Practitioners: Internal Medicine, Adult Health, Community Health, Family Practice, Psychiatry - 2+ years RN experience in home care, medical, surgical, geriatric, LTC and/or ambulatory care required - Prior experience using the UAS-NY Community assessment tool required - Formalized training or preceptor experience in a professional work environment required - Experience designing remote learning required - 2+ years' work experience in training clinical staff, UAS audits, and/or experience in an ER or critical care setting preferred - Highly proficient technical skills (multimedia training platforms, Microsoft Office suite, database software, etc.) and the ability to quickly learn, utilize and train others on new programs; knowledge of various training platforms and methods; ability to evaluate, research and make recommendations for e-learning; ability to design and deliver effective training, then evaluate for effectiveness; excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals; strong presentation skills; organized and analytical with attention to detail; ability to work independently and as a member of the IPP Training team MAXIMUS Introduction Since 1975, Maximus has operated under its founding mission of Helping Government Serve the People, enabling citizens around the globe to successfully engage with their governments at all levels and across a variety of health and human services programs.
