Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Research Specialist to join various departments at a renowned medical school in Philadelphia. This position can be A, B or C level.Summary:The Grants Manager will provide research and financial administrative support for a department in the medical school. This role will be responsible for the preparation, review, and submission of sponsored program proposals for submission to sponsors. This position will function as a resource for sponsored program guidelines, policies, and procedures. The individual will also provide financial monitoring and reporting for sponsored programs including foundations, federal and other agencies. Post award duties include award set up and management for financial and regulatory compliance, meeting regularly with investigators for expense reporting and projects, and processing reports and transactions through close out.Skills & Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in a relevant fieldFamiliarity with research and clinical study methodologiesAbility to work onsite Monday-FridayGrant and contract administration andor accounting preferred with knowledge of and demonstrated competency with compliance issues related to the management of both federal and non-federal sponsored researchStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in University financial systems is preferredCandidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work independently as well as part of a team with faculty and staff under strict deadlines while demonstrating attention to detail.Responsibilities:Monitoring of grant expenditures and completion of monthly grant analysisProposal Development and RenewalClinical trial invoicing and AR monitoringGrant Reconciliation and Audit Back-upMaintain staff payroll allocations using WorkdayMaintain grant and financial databasesPrepare and review sponsored program proposals for submission to sponsor in collaboration with principal investigatorsWork with the Office of Research Services (ORS) and the Office of Clinical Research (OCR) to finalize the budgets and contracts in a timely manner.Provide financial monitoring and reporting for sponsored programs and departmental funds through periodic review and analysis of expenditures with the PIs and Associate Director of ResearchPreparation of journal entries and execution of other financial transactions to ensure accuracyMonitor and associate study milestones with invoicing to ensure appropriate billing on clinical studiesProvide pre- and post-award grants management support including payroll, non-payroll, and effort reporting.
