Location: Mason Employment Status: Hourly Full-Time Function: Quality Assurance/Control Pay Range: ($42,375.00 - $63,563.00) Target Bonus: % Req ID: 26451 "‹ "‹ Job Responsibilities Tests and inspects products at various production stages, compiles/evaluates statistical data to maintain quality and reliability to Harris Products Group standards. Audits production processes to ensure adherence to procedures and proper recording of quality data. Key Deliverables Works safely and promotes safety within the team and organization. Completes projects and reports timely. Maintains test data and performs lab testing. Manages product certification database. Conducts internal audits on processes/procedures. Performs braze tests, instrument calibrations, and other QA duties. Submits layer process audit results. Key Accountability Metrics Safety metrics Data accuracy and consistency Lab reporting metrics Return Material Authorization (RMA) metrics Internal Audits EBITB Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions Safety: Works safely and supports team safety. Product Certifications/Braze Testing (50%): Performs cooling curves, tensile tests, brazing tests, chemical analysis, hardness testing, flux testing, pH testing, cleanliness testing, induction and torch brazing analysis, creates spectrometry standards, performs PMs on lab equipment, assists in maintaining ISO:17025 certification, logs lab humidity and temperature, other testing duties. Product/Process Inspections (35%): Conducts quality assessments, layered process audits, monitors and records test lab information, completes product assessments, understands manufacturing processes, performs receipt inspection and testing, mounts, grinds, and polishes samples, operates stereoscope and microscope, operates Starrett CNC. Quality Support Processes (10%): Tests returned material, investigates root causes, takes corrective action. Team-Based Problem Solving/Projects (5%): Participates in cross-functional teams to identify root causes of non-conformances. Job Requirements Education and/or Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent, plus one-year related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a lab technician role. Good computer skills; effective written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Preferred: Associate's degree in a technical field. Experience in metallurgical or chemistry testing of metals. Six Sigma experience. SAP experience. Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualities Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and technical specifications. Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts. Ability to use fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization. Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
