We are looking for a dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Technician like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsThe Cardiac Cath Lab Technician safely performs a variety of technical procedures, utilizing specialized angiographic equipment for diagnosis of cardiovascular and/or peripheral vascular disease entities; as well as for therapeutic intervention to treat disease processes. What you will do in this role: Operates Specialized Equipment /Radiation Safety: Operates specialized radiographic and invasive procedure equipment Understands needs and identifies needed supplies appropriately for invasive procedures. Ensures supplies available for procedures.Employs radiation protection devices and techniques as required.Independently assists physician as scrub person and operates fluoroscopic/specialized equipment safely.Understands and practices sterile techniqueOrients new employees as related to special procedure technologist dutiesParticipates in departmental performance improvement activitiesFulfills assigned on call obligations. What qualifications you will need:Completion of an accredited and approved Radiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist program.Current Registered Radiographer (ARRT), a certification as a Radiology Technician or Cardiovascular TechnologistRegistered Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist (RCIS) credential preferredAmerican Red Cross or American Heart Association (BLS OR BCLS, and ALS OR ACLS) Course Completion and Certification3+ years' experience in the field of Radiology or as a Cardiovascular Technologist; at least two of which working in a moderately busy cardiac Cath or special procedures lab preferred.As the first hospital in Pearland, Texas, HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is proud to provide healthcare resources to the south Houston communities.
