Here's what we're looking for in our newest team member!   As the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) you will provide direct peer-to-peer support services to individuals who have substance abuse or co-occurring disorders. As an advocate for patients, the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist will be responsible for providing essential expertise and consultation to the entire multidisciplinary treatment team to promote a culture in which each individual's treatment needs and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into treatment, rehabilitation, and community self-help activities. The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist will draw from his/her own journey of recovery to inspire hope and provide support to others who are facing similar situations.     For over 30 years, New Season Treatment Centers have been a leading national health care service provider of outpatient treatment centers that specialize in providing safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder ("OUD").  Are you curious about what your day-to-day may look like and how you'll be making a big positive impact on your local community?Essential Functions:Assists patients in developing problem-solving skills to respond to challenging experiences in their recoveryModels effective coping and self-help strategies and techniques to individuals or groups of patients to overcome personal fears, anxieties, urges, and triggersAssists/supports patients in daily decision making, resolution of minor problems, and crisis intervention as necessaryAssists patients in identifying their personal goals and objectives for recovery and sobrietyAssists clinic staff in a collaborative process of identifying programs and environments that are conducive to recoveryAssists patients in creating their personal recovery plansMeets with patients to provide advice and support in accordance with treatment plansAssists/coordinates patient support groups on a regular basisAssists patients in obtaining and utilizing clinic based and community based services that support individual recovery needsAssists patients by identifying community resources and encouraging participation, to engage in healthy social activities, employment opportunities or provide other assistance as neededObserves behaviors and evidence of general well-being and discusses observations with the patientAssists patients in developing empowerment skills through self-advocacyEnsures timely and appropriate documentation as required by company, state, and federal policy     Education/Licensure/Certification: Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
