Role Overview: Sodexo Corporate Services has an exciting opportunity for a Chef Manager to be part of the team at an Industry leader in Decatur, Illinois. The Chef Manager will report to the general manager and will function as the lead manager at this R&D location and will oversee the inventory management process including ordering, storing, inventory and training staff. Inventory management and procurement of food and supplies at the account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company are a top focus for this position. The successful candidate will have direct oversight of a unit where Sodexo provides breakfast and lunch servicer to a building population of about 300, as well as casual catering. The Chef Manager will lead a small team of frontline employees and will have the ability to uphold high expectations and standards and hold their team accountable. Stellar organization, attention to detail, communication and relationship building skills are keys to success in this position. This is a great opportunity with a predominantly Monday through Friday work schedule What You'll Do: be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecastingensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implementedhave the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations; ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
