Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a 2nd Shift Welding Production Supervisor to join their team. As a 2nd Shift Welding Production Supervisor, you will be part of the Manufacturing Team supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: 2nd Shift Welding Production Supervisor Location: Rochester, MN Type: Permanent Opportunity Shift: M-F 3p-11:30p, OT as needed and occasional Saturday Day Shift OT Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 plus 3% Premium What's the Job? Oversees approximately 10+ direct reports in welding department Cultivates and promotes a strong safety culture and follows all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Interprets schedules and coordinates appropriate manpower to meet area goals, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of products. Provides leadership and clear direction to the production staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and other area goals are met consistently. Assists in the development, communication, and deployment of departmental policies and procedures. Leads and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance working conditions and departmental safety performance. What's Needed? High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in a related field is preferred. 3+ years of supervision experience required Knowledge of Union preferred Lean manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Experience in metal fabrication and welding or liquid and powder paint is desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
