What You Will Be Doing: We are looking for a college student with an adaptable and customer-focused attitude to join our team as a Property Management Intern! As an intern, you will collaborate closely with property management and leasing consultants, gaining hands-on experience in the sales process. You will also engage in various property operations tasks, maintain resident information systems, learn about financial record-keeping, and explore numerous opportunities to gain comprehensive knowledge of the field. This opportunity will be available for the Summer of 2025! Essential Job Duties: Leasing Process Observe the sales process from start to finish Conduct property tours and overcome objections Build relationships with prospects and create excitement Assist in the application process Assist in scheduling appointments Assist in validating prospect/resident rental eligibility using designated background verification process. Assist with marketing and follow up of the leasing team unit inspections, thank you notes, approval letters, phone calls and lease signing schedules. Resident Relations Assist in guiding residents through the move in process Review and check accuracy of resident information. Reports and Files Assist with creating monthly reports including renewals, rents, leasing, resident retention programs and maintenance. Assist in the follow up of delinquencies. Observe and perform tasks associated with the operation of the property including maintenance of resident information systems and resident files. Property Financials Assist the Manager with collection and processing of payments and purchase orders. Learn how we maintain the financial records of apartment community. This includes verification and allocation of business transactions. Compliance: Adhere to federal and state Fair Housing Laws as well as all company policies. What We'll Expect from You: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of motivation. Excellent time management and organizational skills
