Maintenance Mechanic

What this job involves: JLL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for an exciting opportunity at pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in East Syracuse, NY. The role involves performing repair, maintenance, and replacement of various mechanical systems crucial to maintaining production flow throughout the facility. This includes work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plumbing components, HVAC systems, plant steam components, leak detection systems, and on-site vehicles and equipment.What your day-to-day will look like:Perform preventative maintenance tasks as specified in Maximo Job plan within given deadlinesAssist the operations team in maintaining and repairing building and equipmentConduct minor plumbing repairs (pneumatic and hydronic)Carry out facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions affecting client occupancy and operationsRespond effectively to all emergenciesComply with safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping in work areasRecognize and propose solutions for safety hazardsEnsure compliance with State, County, and City Ordinances, Codes, and LawsSafely handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materialsParticipate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programsDocument work performance and materials procurement as directedParticipate in on-call rotationConform to GDP standards and properly utilize CMMS systemsWork Schedule: Regular Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PMAdditional Requirement: Participation in on-call rotationDesired or Preferred Experience and Technical Skills:Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systemsKnowledge of plumbing systems and componentsFamiliarity with HVAC systems and their maintenanceUnderstanding of plant steam componentsExperience with leak detection systemsAbility to perform maintenance on various vehicles and equipment (work trucks, forklifts, lifts, etc.)Knowledge of dock levelers and garage door maintenanceFamiliarity with CMMS systems, preferably MaximoRequired Skills and Experience:Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprintsKnowledge of safety procedures and regulationsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical capability to perform the required tasks, including lifting and working at heightsWillingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergenciesAbility to adapt to and comply with GDP standards and CMMS system requirements#MMjobs
