JOB DESCRIPTIONFabricate sheet metal parts in accordance with the current technical data provided.Layout, drill, bend parts on brake, form, and trim aircraft sheet metal parts.Properly record the work performed on the appropriate Order Assembly.Able to operate brakes, shears, grinders, band saw, and other machinery using safety equipment while maintaining oneself and shop safety.Proficient in reading engineering drawing, technical data, and other work instruction to fabricate/manufacture parts to 0.030(thirty thousandths) with consistent accuracy.Able to lift to 50 lbs. with regularity.Performs other related duties as assigned.JOB QUALIFICATIONSDetermine project requirements using blueprints, drawings or written and verbal instructions, such as scope, assembly sequences, or required methods or materials.The ability to set up, fixture, and assemble parts to meet assembly drawing requirements.The ability to trim, file, grid, deburr, bluff or smooth surfaces, seams or joints of assembled parts using hand tools or portable power tools.Mechanically inclined; Ability to work with hands and hand tools.Knowledge of aircraft hardware and materials and processes a plusExcellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.Ability to follow written detailed instructions.Capable of working alone and as part of a team.EXPERIENCE THAT IS DESIRED FOR THE POSITION3+ Years of Sheet metal fabrication Mill (Manual or CNC), Drill Press, Sheet metal break (Manual or Pneumatic), Roller, Sheer, etc.A&P preferable but not required.Experience priming and painting sheet metal parts with various types of primer and paints.
