Medical, Dental, Vision low-cost premiums even for family coverageCompany-paid life/AD&D insuranceCompany-paid short-term disabilityPaid sick/vacation/holiday401k/Company Funded Pension Program (program is dependent upon location and job type)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Additional voluntary benefits Compensation$80,000 - $95,000 annually/DOEResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong customer relationships with decision makers for selecting concrete suppliersUnderstand established models for pricing and quotingDevelop and maintain a list of target and development customers and build strong relationships with them to meet new sales goalsMeet or exceed new and retention sales volume goalsGain and maintain a reputation for sound business acumen with business owners and decision makersTrack current trends in the national and local economy and understand the impact on the local ready-mix marketCompile detailed competitive and industry informationAssist customers and Quality Control to provide required mix design submittalsProactively maintain open communication regarding customer requirements and expectations to appropriate plant, dispatch, quality and management personnelAssist in the implementation of company marketing plans as neededMaintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned areaProvide timely reports, i.e., monthly activity reports and expense reports, etc.Assist Credit Department with collectionsAdhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the teamAttend industry-related events and participate in trade associations, Chambers of Commerce, and local economic development groupsShare expertise and experience with other sales team membersEducationBachelor's degree preferredRequirements/QualificationsMinimum of 2 years sales experience, preferably in the construction materials industryAbility to spontaneously discuss industry, market and product knowledge in a variety of audiencesStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to influence and drive decision-making as appropriateStrong analytical skillsTeam-player both internally and externallyMid-level skill level with Microsoft Office Software, i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPointClean driving record (for last five years)Preferred:Experience with Public Entities (state, county, city governments, etc.)Background in construction and/or manufacturing of construction productsFamiliar with CRM and customer contact databasesFamiliarity with ERP - SAPConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
