The position follows standard work methods and practices that create safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.ResponsibilitiesUnder minimal supervision: Perform Cellar I & Cellar II tasks: Clean & sanitize equipment, apply good housekeeping practices, perform wine movements, top barrels, make additions to wine, operate complex equipment, measure, and calculate workplace data.Perform complex cellar and barrel tasks including but not limited to wine movement, blend assembly, wine/juice additions per Winemaker instructions, etc.Operate complex equipment but not limited to lees filter, cross flow filter, press, etc.Provide feedback to Winemaking, Cellar, and Barrel staff on best practices.Lead and mentor teams, train, and mentor temporary employees, and assist in creating SOPs and training documents.Understand and be a leader in the 5S program (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and in the safety hazard identification programResponsible for compliance with CBI sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable, and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling.
