As a Production Scanner you will using inspection equipment to process dimensional inspections on all standard and complex castings, fixtures and core assemblies. Who are we? We specialize in manufacturing aluminum and magnesium products for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and engines. What will you do? Perform casting layouts by using CMM, Portable CMM, Laser Scanner and White Light equipment utilizing Digital Analysis Software and manual measurement tools (hand scanning). Compile dimensional discrepancy data, layout reports, customer forms, etc. and reviews with Level 3 title. Measuring castings of all complexities which includes measuring accuracy of tooling points, the cutting planes and angles for saw operations for the purpose of the Level 3 title provide specific directions or assistance to downstream operations Organize all equipment, materials, fixtures, measuring devices, etc. necessary to complete assigned job and check all documentation (blueprints, travelers, customer records, engineering change requests, special instructions, etc.) and perform calibrations. Provide thorough feedback to Level 3 title on special interest findings through written and verbal instruction. Perform routine maintenance and minor repair of equipment and contact Supervisor for major problems and repairs. High school or equivalent. 1 years in a manufacturing environment.
