This key leadership role is pivotal in advancing the institution's mission and strategic priorities, with a focus on fostering meaningful relationships within the donor, alumni, and broader community. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a dynamic and strategic advancement program, managing a range of development and alumni relations activities, and overseeing the planning of future campaigns. A major emphasis will be on increasing philanthropic support, including unrestricted annual operating revenue, endowment, and scholarship funds. The ideal candidate will have a robust track record as a major/principal gift fundraiser, at least 10 years of experience in development or advancement programs, and a proven ability to lead and manage a sophisticated advancement operation. Superior communication, relationship-building skills, and the ability to create a compelling case for support are essential. The role also involves mentoring and motivating a team of professionals to maximize the institution's position with current supporters and in new markets. The Vice President for Advancement will be instrumental in the College's 175th anniversary celebration and will be expected to capitalize on this milestone to enhance the institution's profile and philanthropic support.
