The CFO will be tasked with leading the organization's financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and reporting. A key aspect of the role is to develop and implement financial strategies that not only ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization but also support its diverse stakeholders and communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing fund accounting, grant management, and donor financial reporting, and must have a deep understanding of nonprofit financial regulations and best practices. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a CPA or MBA preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior nonprofit finance role. A strong background in nonprofit accounting, grant compliance, and fund management is essential, as is experience in implementing DEI-focused financial strategies. The role requires proficiency in nonprofit accounting software and advanced Excel skills, as well as excellent leadership, strategic planning, and communication abilities.
