The successful candidate will be tasked with advancing the organization's vision and mission, which includes serving a diverse membership of over 50 hospitals and health systems. This role is pivotal in the development and execution of a wide range of member programs and services, with a strong focus on public policy positioning, state government lobbying and advocacy, education, and innovative business solutions. The CEO will also be responsible for effectively communicating with member leaders, political and regulatory leaders, and for maintaining a strong presence and knowledge of the members' issues and priorities. The ideal CEO for the company will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in healthcare advocacy, particularly in the context of the various policy, reimbursement, workforce, and operational issues facing rural healthcare. Essential skills include the ability to lead high-performing teams, convene groups to reach consensus on complex issues, and provide clear and effective communication to a wide range of stakeholders. The role requires a leader who can expertly influence public leaders and establish a strong, clear voice representing the organization's members.
