This role requires a professional with a minimum of 15 years' experience in commercial real estate, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and a CPA designation or equivalent. The Vice President of Accounting will be tasked with leading a team of accounting professionals, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements, and providing support for complex transactions, SEC filings, and investor relations. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Accounting include supervising the day-to-day activities of the accounting staff, overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and maintaining internal controls. The role also involves extensive interaction with commercial asset managers, participation in budgeting and forecasting, and support for various real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting, experience with commercial real estate accounting software, and the ability to manage a challenging workload while meeting strict deadlines.
