PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONResponsible for providing technical expertise in support of performing Special Nuclear Material Control and Accountability. Possesses a high degree of knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESUses prescribed guidelines and procedures to analyze and resolve problems. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex. Specializes in Special Nuclear Material (SNM) accountability and reporting to external agencies and process-driven systems requirements. Responsible for the preparation, review, reconciliation, and transmittal of Department of Energy (DOE)/Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Form 741, 742, and 742c reports while ensuring that all products are prepared in accordance with applicable procedures, industry codes and regulatory requirement. Works independently receives minimal level of guidance and direction.Coordinates, implements, and administers technical nuclear plant support activities, primarily SNM reporting and accountability. Responsible for incorporating all SNM movement, location, and quantity information into the SNM accounting software database (TracWorks) as well as reconciliation of differences. Perform software owner responsibilities (including Digital Technology Software Quality Assurance (DTSQA) reviews) in support of SNM Accounting and ReportingSupport special projects for fuel inspection and shipping, audits and special requests from other groups within Nuclear Fuels, Reactor Engineering, and external organizations (DOE, NRC, Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System (NMMSS), contractors) while effectively interfacing with these groups. Influences others within the job area as well as outside the job area and external contacts through explanation of facts, policies and practicesParticipate in industry conferences related to SNM Accounting and Reporting.Provides mentoring to Fuel Databank Analysts.Increased awareness of SNM activities, greater familiarity with processes, and consistent conduit between Nuclear Fuels and external stakeholders establishes the Senior Fuels Databank Analyst above the responsibilities expected of a Fuel Databank Analyst.Reviews internal processes on an on-going basis to facilitate continuous improvement of procedures, processes, and tools, which are used for the tracking, administration, and/or communication of special nuclear material control and accountability.All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Engineering Analyst/E02Bachelor&rsquos degree with 2 years of data analyst experience ORAssociate&rsquos degree with 4 years of data analyst experience OR"¯High school diploma/GED with 6 years of data analyst experience"¯Working knowledge of nuclear industry, or other regulated industry, process, or system Detail oriented with strong Excel and data manipulation skills Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties"¯MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Analyst/E03Bachelor's degree with 5 years of data analyst experience ORAssociate's degree with 7 years of data analyst experience ORHigh school diploma/GED with 9 years of data analyst experienceWorking knowledge of nuclear industry, or other regulated industry, process, or systemDetail oriented with very strong Excel and data manipulation skillsMaintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties***This Analyst role can be filled at the Mid-level or Senior level.
