Job SummaryDistribution System Coordinators provide support to all various areas of distribution operations including shipping, receiving and inventory control. They coordinate work activities of distribution support specialists to efficiently achieve production demands. Job DescriptionExperience Required: 0 to 6 monthsExperience Desired: 1-3 years experience, 2+ years experience in a unionized distribution center environment; 2 or more years experience in a distribution center environment; Working knowledge of distribution center system hardware and software preferred. Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalentCertification or Licensing Required: NoneLifting Requirement: Up to 50 poundsTravel Required: NoneAge Requirement: At least 18 years of ageJob ResponsibilitiesAudit locations to ensure correct inventory data. Assist Operations in monitoring voice selection. Advise inventory manager of Team Member conduct and job performance. Assist in the development of Inventory Team Members; including training and cross-training other Team Members. Assist in cycle counting. Meet or exceed the requirements of customers at all times. Ensure all paperwork and documentation provides a complete, accurate record of production activities and inventory on hand. Assist in the administration of Inventory control functions. Ensure drop reselects are completed for load departureAssign tasks to other departments and oversee the completion of the daily workloadOrganize the storage and flow of inventory within the warehouseCoordinate the loading and unloading of productFlexibility in scheduling with the availability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessaryHBC: Oversee and perform all aspects to the cigarette stamping machineAbout UsAt Giant Eagle Inc., we're more than just food, fuel and convenience.
