Legal Project Manager- $170K++My client is a large International Law Firm and they are looking for an eDiscovery Project Manager in their Washington DC office. This is a hybrid position, 3 days a week on site.The project manager role involves coordinating with attorneys and clients to identify what data sources need to be collected and produced during the discovery phase of litigation. For collection of client's data, the Project Manager would coordinate with attorneys, client and/or if applicable, a third-party vendor to collect the client's data (e.g., email, mobile devices) and then oversee the vendor who will process the data so it can be loaded to an electronic discovery database software such as Relativity. Additionally, the project manager will coordinate with attorneys, and third-party vendor if applicable, on the document review and document productions. The Project Manager will also be required to assist case teams with any other electronic discovery projects as needed (attorney training, developing internal departmental processes, etc.) Advises attorneys, paralegals and clients on electronic discovery best practices and consults on processes from collection through post-production tasks. Liaises with internal case teams, clients, vendors and the Legal Technology staff to support matters throughout all phases of discovery and offers recommendations about design, processes and workflows, including drafting project specifications for vendors. Maintains awareness of latest electronic discovery trends and assesses any impact they have on Legal Technology workflows. Provides analyses and detailed feedback of ESI Protocols in consultation with attorney teams. Identifies and articulates potential risks clearly and provides viable solutions regarding collection, processing, review and production. Addresses and handles risks and potential issues independently . Qualifications Understanding of relevant Firm litigation support software as it pertains to hosting document reviews, preparing productions and performing advanced searches Advanced understanding of all aspects of the EDRM and of electronic discovery best practices, trends and techniques Familiarity with all forms of document production specifications including regulator-mandated formats and requirements negotiated with opposing counsel Thorough understanding of analytics software, technology-assisted review and workflows and the ability to provide attorneys with their recommended use across all matter types Extensive knowledge of basic litigation processes, including trial procedures Proficiency with various electronic discovery platforms, including Relativity Experience/Education Bachelor's degree. Minimum of five years directly related experience in a litigation environment using technology to support litigation efforts, with specific emphasis on all phases of electronic discovery, as well as coding, scanning, document management and trial support.
