Collator Operator

Job Summary: Operate and maintain assigned collator to meet production standards, quality, and delivery requirements as directed by the Binder Operator and General Plant Supervisor   Duties/Responsibilities: Analyze and interpret job jackets to thoroughly understand the needs of the customer, communicating those instructions to the bindery trainee Set up and operate collator including the fine tuning of pockets to ensure minimal stops during operation for a smooth and trouble-free production run Give direction to the bindery trainee for the staging process, folding status, F&G approval status, and locating job jackets Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPE's, Ergonomics, and etc. Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees. Assist with housekeeping in the bindery area Other duties as assigned   Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Previous experience working in manufacturing Must be a bindery trainee for six months Must be mechanically inclined, flexible, organized, with attention to detail Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong knowledge of computer - controlled machinery in a production environment Self - motivated with strong problem-solving skills   Desired Skills and Abilities: Prior Bindery experience is preferred Knowledge of a variety of small hand tools and precision measuring devices is preferred   Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing on production floor Must be able to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds #SPA24
