Job DescriptionThe Operations RPS Change Agent drives Rheem Production System initiatives throughout the plant operations team ensuring change management is utilized while driving our RPS principles forward.This position will serve our Air Division, located in Fort Smith, AR.ResponsibilitiesSupport Kaizen events comprised of multi-functional team membersImplement/coach the use of MDI boards and other visual management toolsAudit MDI boards weekly according to the standard Lead execution and coaching of the visual workplace through 5S process (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) across all work areas in the value streamConduct cycle times, time studies, and line balance for improvementsWork with site personnel to identify, address, and eliminate process-related obstacles through basic problem-solving techniquesAssist in the change of systems and processes in support of RPS initiativesParticipate in or co-facilitate Continuous Improvement projects and JDI's ("just do-it's")Provide necessary training specifically to RPS tools and methodology (under the guidance of the Operations Excellence Manager). Assist in updating and maintaining visual performance tools, including Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 MDI boards, and Mission Control BoardFollow up on action plans, working with the management team and tracking to closureAssist teams as needed to ensure improvements are made and sustainedAssist in the creation and implementation of standard work, and teach/coach line leaders accordinglyDrive culture change through coaching of employees and leaders in following the principles and practices of RPSDeliver results on improving our TPS/RPS metrics. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsHigh School Graduate/GED5 years of related experienceTPS principal knowledge preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience in data entry and be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
