The Service Manager maximizes productivity of the Service department and provides excellent customer service to improve the overall performance and profitability of the business.Primary Responsibilities:Develop goals and provide direction to optimize departmental performance in the areas of Customer Service, Revenue Attainment, Cost Control, Technician Productivity, Quality Assurance, and Cycle Time.Ensure Service Advisors keep customers informedManage shop workload, schedule appointments, and maintain an organized schedule with all Service TechniciansHire, train, motivate, develop, counsel, and monitor the performance of all Service department staffProcess work orders from start to finish, in line with Company policies and proceduresAssist in preparing an annual operating budget for the Service departmentProcess warranty repairsPrepare and finalize invoice transactions with customers, including receiving paymentContinually seeking technical and product knowledge by completing on-line and hands on trainingExperience:Requires a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)5 + years of practical service management experience5 + years of supervisory experienceSkills:Written and verbal communication skillsMicrosoft Office skillsExceptional customer service skillsAbilities:Apply good judgment in recognizing scope of authorityMust be able to multi-taskAbility to maintain an orderly and clean shopMust be able to build a team and promote a teamwork environmentBenefits:Competitive compensationHealth, dental, and Vision InsuranceHSA with company matching401(k) with company contributionCompany-paid life and short-term disability insuranceLong-term disability insuranceHoliday pay and PTO
