Accountant

Company/Role Overview:CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search has been retained by an industry leading manufacturing company to identify a Senior Accountant to serve their team. They are looking for a career-minded person to join their team long-term. The right candidate will have a direct career path to Controller and then to VP of Finance. Their current Controller plans on retiring in a couple years. They will take the time to train the Senior Account in all aspects the business. Our client is family owned and has strong financials. They have a culture that likes to take on challenges, is fun, fast-paced, and is down-to-earth. What You'll Do: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsPerform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Support month-end and year-end close processesGain knowledge in job costing practicesConduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide explanationsHelp maintain accurate records of fixed assets and inventoryAssist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulationsSupport internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and informationUtilize accounting software and ERP systems to manage financial dataUnderstand manufacturing practices and processes Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingSupport the VP of Finance What You'll Need:Associates Degree required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar background preferred2+ Years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment preferredIT & Software experience preferred
