Senior Accountant/Cost Accounting - Hybrid

Embrace an exciting industry at the forefront of innovation.Role Overview: Reporting to the Regional Plant Controller, the Cost Accountant will support manufacturing and distribution costs, partnering with Operations Leadership to optimize business performance across the US and Canada.Key Responsibilities:Analyze and update costs to reflect changing conditions and material costs.Interpret variances from standard costs and production metrics.Conduct ad-hoc analyses on product costs, inventory, raw materials, and energy consumption.Engage in cost accounting activities, including cost estimates, overhead absorption, inventory management, and month-end closing.Prepare schedules for internal and external auditors.Promote financial best practices and process improvements.Assist plant personnel in resolving accounting issues and enhancing reporting accuracy.Collaborate with various departments and perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting required.3-5 years of experience in accounting, in manufacturing with standard costing.Strong Excel skills and experience with financial accounting software (ERP system preferred).Strong Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.For immediate consideration please send your resume to: cecilia.bjurstrom@
