Job Purpose: In the International Supply Chain Import Delivery Supervisor role, the associate manages ISC KD Import with a focus on part ordering and delivery from overseas Honda facilities, ordering and delivery from ISC to NA production facilities (HDMA & HCM), and CC coordination as well as long term Planning and Associate Development for the Supply Chain Department. The associate is responsible to provide essential frontline leadership for direct reports to include prioritization, workload balancing, performance reviews, gap identification, implement recovery plans and process direction to the Group for problem resolution. Responsible to lead Key Development Areas, Personnel, Performance Metrics and Department Resources. Network with business partners outside of core Department to break down barriers and link Group members and stakeholders for greater output. Additional responsibilities include developing the associates in areas of technical proficiency and leadership, while also supporting manpower and business planning activities. Key Accountabilities:Lead daily direction for the Group; Drive and execute action that adds meaning and significance for the whole Group; Drive influence and lead the Honda way; Foster relationships and build Group trust.Support & Facilitate Department Business plan and KPI activity through effective long-term Planning; Delegate activities to strengthen associates in support in Business plan; Champion new ideas, strategies and encourage Group to participate; Support monthly KPI's achievement and reporting.Associate Development; Facilitate effective communication for Group deliverables and targets; Track Group progress, ensure resources are available, lead growth and learning initiatives; Maintain training plans; Engage in associate recognition, feedback, and coaching; Performance Monitoring; Workload planning.Create relationships with business partners outside core department; link stakeholders and Group members; present and share Group initiatives; negotiate and support Group to break down barriers.Assigned Project Leader for specific Group functions: safety margin, transportation, others as needed. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or 6yr equivalent relevant experience5+ years experienceMeets or exceeds requirements for Exempt level 4 requirementsKnowledge of supply chain and manufacturing flowStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organization skillsAbility to prioritize tasks, work independently with limited directionAbility to troubleshoot complex problems in a team-based work environmentConsistently identify opportunities for continuous improvementCollect data and apply business knowledge to solve a range of problemsUnderstand project management fundamentals to effectively lead project themesEffectively sell ideas, securing buy-in from individuals or teamProficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookAbility to Lead teams and ProjectsStrong Presentation skillsStrong Reporting and Analytical skillsAbility to do complete Why-Why Analysis identifying Root Cause and Countermeasures Working Conditions:Overtime as neededSome travel may be necessary What differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?
