The House Supervisor participates as an active member of the nursing management team and assumes authority to manage all activities and personnel in conjunction with and in the absence of hospital administration. "‹"‹"‹  What you will do in this role: "‹You will assume responsibility for supervision and coordination of all house-wide functions during the designated shift. Makes decisions regarding patient care and staff management using established policies/procedures. You will oversee nurse staffing and ensure that there is the appropriate number and type of nursing personnel to care for the number and acuity of patients. You will review patient care daily, visit patients regularly, making suggestions to improve care and become involved in the care of selected patients. You will demonstrate an understanding of the budget process and staffing plan, implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decisions. You will participate in the monitoring, coaching, evaluating and disciplining process. You will ensure the timely admission of patients from the Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Direct Admissions and the Access Center.You will respond as patient advocate during off-hours to patient concerns and report these interactions to the Patient Advocacy Department.You will respond to all CODE/RRT situations throughout the facility. What qualifications you will need:Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license. BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.Five (5) years minimum of clinical RN experience required.
