Articulated Haul Truck Operator

EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS Operate 40 Ton Articulated Haul Truck Inspect, fuel, grease, and refill fluids on equipment as needed. Perform routine inspections on equipment, complete minor equipment maintenance, report safety issues. Utilize various hand tools as needed to complete daily job requirements Help maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties Work with team members to complete operational priorities of the day, cross train in other job positions as needed Follow all safety policies, including MSHA and company regulations. Other duties as assigned Pay Rate: $24.5 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES The primary areas of responsibility include: Plant Safety Operating Equipment Minor Equipment Maintenance   REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of operating heavy equipment Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams Ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Experience working in aggregate industry a plus Experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred   TRAVEL REQUIREMENT Less than 10% - as needed    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly outside and exposed to various weather conditions including hot/cold temperatures and rain/snow conditions. Employee constantly sits, utilizes manual dexterity, uses fine motor skills, gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near/far vision and requires active hearing/listening. Employee occasionally stands, walks, climbs, crawls, kneels, bends, reaches, lifts to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, pushes and pulls. Employee is regularly exposed to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes and aggregate materials. Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hats.
