Position Overview: Astound is currently searching for a Human Resources Generalist or Senior Human Resources Generalist in our Seattle, WA office. You will play a critical role in supporting the business by providing HR consultation, employee relations expertise, and investigative support. This role requires a deep understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and business strategy to partner with leaders in driving a high-performance culture. The HR or Sr. HR Generalist will serve as a trusted advisor, providing coaching and guidance on complex people-related matters while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. A Day in the Life of an HR/ Sr. HR Generalist: HR Consultation & Business Partnership Serve as a trusted thought partner and consultant to leaders, providing expert HR guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategies Be the primary point of contact for all people-related matters within designated business units, ensuring HR initiatives align with business goals Partner with leadership to foster a high-performance culture, driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and career growth Assess organizational health and effectiveness, identifying opportunities to optimize structures, policies, and team dynamics Employee Relations & Investigations Lead and conduct employee relations investigations, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance with company policies and employment laws Provide guidance to managers and employees on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management Act as an HR investigator and mediator, addressing workplace concerns, grievances, and complaints with a solutions-oriented approach Ensure a non-retaliatory and legally compliant workplace, advising leaders on appropriate corrective actions and risk mitigation Change Management & Talent Development Provide thought leadership on change management, helping leaders navigate organizational shifts while maintaining team morale and productivity Support manager development, equipping leaders with the skills to coach, motivate, and retain top talent Consult on career development strategies, ensuring employees have access to growth opportunities and clear pathways for advancement HR Programs & Compliance Drive the execution of key HR program ssuch as performance reviews, compensation planning, talent assessments, and engagement surveys Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks Collect and analyze HR data to provide insights that inform business decisions and improve workforce effectiveness Collaboration & Leadership Support Work cross-functionally with HR Management, People Operations, and Legal to ensure consistent application of HR policies and best practices Support and drive DEI initiatives that promote an inclusive and equitable workplace What You Bring to the Table: 3 - 10 years of HR experience, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, investigations, and HR consulting Expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigations Strong business acumen and ability to consult with senior leaders on HR strategy and workforce planning Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels Experience in performance management, change management, and organizational effectiveness Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze trends and provide strategic HR insights Working knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred Travel: Ground travel required: 40% Air travel required: 15% We're Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package Including: 401k retirement plan, with employer match Insurance options including: medical, dental, vision, life and STD insurance Paid Time Off/Vacation: Starting at 80 hours per year, and increases based on tenure with the organization Floating Holiday: 40 hours per year Paid Holidays: 7 days per year Paid Sick Leave: Astound allows a number of paid sick hours per calendar year and varies based on state and/or local laws Tuition reimbursement program Employee discount program *Benefits listed above are for regular full-time positions Base Salary: The base salary range for this position in Washington is listed below, plus opportunities for bonus and benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
