Pay Range $25-$29/ hour Please find a brief description of the role below: Essential Duties and Tasks To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made, upon request, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. · Fabricate or modify parts to make/repair machine, tools or maintain machines and minimize downtime. · Applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and procedures · Plan actions, steps, and activities necessary to produce precision parts to specifications using manual automated tools such as but not limited to lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders to complete the project or batch. · Monitor, maintain and adjust process to produce to specifications. · Measure, examine and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications. · Record approved and defective units or finished products. · All other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Education and Experience · Education Technical school specializing in fabrication or machinist training. · Experience, Entry Level · Experience with the concepts and principles of the fabrication, tools and equipment. · Solid working knowledge of machine tools and equipment such as lathes, milling, shapers, grinders · Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Outlook email and calendar. · Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information. · Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines. · Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients. · Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options. · Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Work Environment Work primarily in manufacturing environment with some safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes, vision and other protection required when in manufacturing areas. This role operates in a manufacturing environment. Employee may be exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing areas.
