An exciting career awaits youAt MPC, we're committed to being a great place to work - one that welcomes new ideas, encourages diverse perspectives, develops our people, and fosters a collaborative team environment.Overview: The C&M Supervisor leads a team of"¯eight hourly technicians in the execution of construction and maintenance activities at MPL facilities and on the right-of-way."¯ This position is based out of Marathon Pipe Line's (MPL) Indianapolis, IN C&M Shop."¯ The primary responsibilities of the C&M Supervisor are to ensure that project work is completed safely, effectively, and efficiently and to guide the training and development of the technicians on the crew."¯ The Supervisor's duties include scheduling and overseeing day-to-day personnel work activities, participating in project reviews, taking care of customer needs, ensuring regulatory and procedural compliance, protecting assets on the right-of-way, and leading the crew during emergency response."¯ C&M work is very diverse and includes excavation and repair of buried pipelines and fabrication of piping for Marathon facilities."¯ The position also requires the commitment to support various Marathon Pipe Line processes and encourage continuous improvement and managing risk for incident prevention. "¯ Responsibilities: 1. Supervises and directs the day-to-day"¯Indianapolis C&M Crew Technicians to safely execute the repair and maintenance of existing pipelines and facilities as well as the construction and installation of new piping systems."¯ C&M tasks include excavating, bolting, pipefitting, sand blasting, coating/painting and civil work. 2. Partners with local Operations Area Management and Project Leaders to identify and complete C&M work."¯ 3. Maintains practical knowledge of technological aspects of all phases of field Construction and Maintenance activities and implements approved measures to increase efficiency and meet developing needs. 4. Partner with C&M Leadership to train and develop employees within the C&M organization. 5. Support Environmental and Safety initiatives."¯ "¯ 6. Maintain Indianapolis C&M's O&GE and project budget.7. Manage C&M's central location for storage of equipment and tools.Preferred Qualifications: Degree:"¯Bachelors Preferred, but not required.Years Experience:"¯3-5 years Pipeline Engineering or Construction Specialist experience, or 5+ years of C&M or Pipeline Operations experience preferred.
