FINISHING MANAGERA custom cabinetry and millwork company is seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to lead their finishing department. They pride themselves on fostering a collaborative work environment where quality and innovation are prioritized.About the RoleAs a Finishing Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the finishing process to ensure the highest quality standards for luxury cabinetry and millwork. This position requires deep expertise in wood finishing techniques, spray equipment, and advanced materials, as well as strong leadership skills to manage and train the finishing team.What You'll Do:Manage all aspects of the finishing department, including team supervision, production workflow, and resource allocation.Oversee the finishing process, including varnishing, catalyzing, staining, sealing, and distressing, to ensure a flawless final product.Supervise color matching and manage custom sample production.Train and mentor team members in advanced finishing techniques and process improvements.Collaborate with the Plant Manager to implement strategies that enhance productivity and quality.Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure the proper maintenance of spray equipment and tools.Enforce health, safety, and company policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.What We're Looking For:Experience: 5-10 years of finishing experience in cabinetry, millwork, furniture, or related fields. Experience in high-end industries such as automotive finishing, custom yachts, or private jet interiors is a strong plus.Technical Skills: Expertise in spray equipment, varnishing techniques, and applied finishes (e.g., catalyzed finishes, toners, glazes).Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are a plus.Why Join?This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a long-standing reputation for excellence in the cabinetry and millwork industry.
