Position Overview: To drive the creation, management and execution of allocation and replenishment strategies that support the merchandising, visual and inventory initiatives for the retail stores Position Details: Work Environment:At Duluth Trading Company, we value face-to-face interactions that foster our culture of learning, creativity, and teamwork. The role is based at our headquarters near Madison, WI. You will work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays if you prefer. What You'll Do: Develops and implements allocation and replenishment strategies for assigned merchandise categories across all retail locationsManages flow of inventory throughout the product life cycle from the initial allocation through to the daily replenishment review processCreates and executes new store opening assortment allocations based on store specific sales plans and capacity requirementsAnalyzes and identifies selling trends, acting to maximize selling potential and minimize risk to inventory objectives and profitabilityResponsible for creation and maintenance of weekly and ad hoc reports to analyze and react to store level inventory needs Identifies and implements strategies to support inventory levels for key promotional and peak selling periodsMonitors late product and communicates impact to floorset to Visual, Inventory and Store partnersManages end of season transfer process including quantifying transfer proposals and communication to storesEvaluate and maximize system capabilities to further enhance allocation/replenishment tools and effectivenessDevelops and fosters strong cross functional partnerships with the Merchandise Planners, Merchandise Managers, Visual, and DC - Retail OperationsWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience Equivalent work experience would be considered2 years of allocation/replenishment experienceFinancial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results; requires proficiency in retail mathProblem Solving & Decision Quality: Able to use logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutionsInfluencing & Negotiation: Can present ideas and directions at all levels of the organization that lead and influence others to actionSystems and tools Acumen: Advanced in Microsoft Excel with an aptitude to learn multiple inventory applicationsPossess strong organizational and time management skills, along with strong written and oral communication skillsAbility to clearly and concisely identify and summarize complex problems or issues, identify, implement and hindsight solutionsCollaborations: Able to build constructive and effective relationships with cross functional partnersHigh level of analytical thinking and attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and follow through skillsAuthorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.Position Benefits and PerksOur pursuit of a better way isn't just about our products"”it's about our people too. Compensation listed is for the full-time position at this specific location and is based on several factors, including experience, and qualifications.
