Attorney (In -House) - Jersey City 160k-180k Operate in partnership with the company's underwriting team to assist assigned business unit(s)  in achieving their annual goals and objectives Provide legal counsel, compliance advice, and regulatory guidance, as requested on the ordinary and special activities of specified insurance business unit(s), and other client groups Advise on structuring business relationships, new product development, marketing efforts and other business activities Provide legal support, due diligence, and advice regarding acquisitions and strategic investments Support internal projects as needed; provide timely and concise input to senior leadership for quarterly legal reports, team KPIs, strategic initiatives, etc. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have experience in the insurance industry Must have experience with product drafting. Ability to deliver creative and well-reasoned plans to resolve challenges and to execute on such plans EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE J.D. from an accredited law school and a member in good standing Attorney with at least  three years of major law firm experience, and will have some exposure to the insurance business and/or insurance-related legal work and familiarity with insurance compliance and regulatory work. Experience with small commercial insurance and package policies, Business Owner Policies (BOP), and Delegated Authority / Programs business is a plus.
