OverviewHillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for overall operational and management oversight for the facility cardiovascular service line. ResponsibilitiesDirect oversite of Hillcrest Hospital South's cardiovascular strategy as it relates to hospital and outpatient operationsPerform direct supervision of assigned direct reports and activitiesMonitor and assume responsibility for patient flow and staff communication with patients between service areasContinually monitor patient satisfaction and actively seeks ways to improve patient/customer experienceEnsure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, financial performance, and Ardent Health policiesDevelop and implement annual strategic plan that will contribute to the goals and financial success of the organizationPlans and develops annual budgets, long and short-term goals and objectives for the oncology service line.Create and Maintain physician relations for purposes of growing and maintain businessActively survey Cardiology industry movement/trends and the impact of the direction of the service lineServe as a liaison between Administration and Physicians. Communicating the needs, goals and strategies of the organizationEstablish effective strategies for service line with the goal of increasing market shareCollaborate with Marketing in efforts to increase market share through marketing material QualificationsEducation & Experience Bachelor's in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required. Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or Healthcare administration (MHA) preferredCurrent RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.Specialty certification in Executive Nursing Practice preferred.Minimum of five years' experience in cardiovascular leadership and operations roles within a healthcare system.Excellent leadership and communication skills with proven track record of building and coaching successful teams.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExceptional verbal and written (including presentations) communication skills requiredHigh personal, ethical, and professional conductExcellent quantitative and analytical skillsStrong grasp of business and financial principlesStrong problem solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to serve as productive member and leader of teamAbility to develop and present complex concepts to large audiencesExcellent computer skills, including word processing, MS Excel, database, graphics, and other relevant softwareDemonstrated effectiveness in managing and directing departmental operations and human resources, including performance evaluation, training, and professional developmentA proven track record in the development of quality clinical servicesPrevious experience guiding the design and deployment of multiple service line development plans is requiredA proven ability to integrate service line development plans with clinical objectives and goals and to work across a wide range of care delivery environments and providersProfessional experience collaborating with essential business partnersA track record of successfully managing physician relationships, finding common ground, and building commitment around a shared agenda with physician and leadershipA strong knowledge of, and experience with budgeting, financial management, and provider billing
