Function: Engineering and Engineering Services Job Summary: You will provide technical support to Engineering, Operations and Maintenance for the plants electrical systems and provide design input for projects. The Electrical Engineer will create and develop designs by analyzing a technical problem, field checking and specifying applicable equipment and developing cost and scheduling estimates. You will ensure design safety by incorporating applicable codes and standards and sound engineering design practices. You will report to the Chief Engineer, Asset Integrity and Reliability, and you will work with a team including an Electrical Engineer, Reliability Engineers, Instrumentation & Controls Engineers, DCS Specialists, and Instrumentation & Electrical Technicians. You will work onsite; this is a safety sensitive position. Job Description: You Will: Maintenance Support: Provide daily maintenance assistance to I&E technicians and operations. Solve plant-related issues promptly. Long-Term Reliability: Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs for ongoing reliability. Develop electrical designs for assigned projects. Oversee work by external engineering firms or in-house teams. Budget and Documentation: Create capital and expense budgets for electrical system reliability projects. Prepare project authorization documentation . Change Management: Manage the MOC process for documenting electrical changes. Coordinate documentation updates with the engineering department. Project Oversight: Assist with project start-up and troubleshooting. Ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance for on-site contractors. You Have: A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Knowledge, interest or coursework in: Power distribution. Three-phase electrical systems, including motors and transformers. Distribution systems such as switchgear, MCCs, and motor starters. Voltages ranging from 120V to 4,160V. Internship or experience in a chemical processing or refinery plant (preferred). Working knowledge of medium voltage (5-15kV) and low voltage electrical equipment, including switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, motors, etc. Is a plus. Working knowledge of industry codes & standards, including NFPA, API, IEEE, NEMA, UL, ANSI, etc. Is a plus. Our Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, plus well-being incentives.
