Gaylord is located in south central Minnesota about an hour west of the Twin Cities and 35 minutes from Mankato, Hutchinson, and New Ulm. As the County Seat, Gaylord is the "Hub of Sibley County." Our location produces liquid egg, hardcook egg, and precooked egg such as scrambled, patties and omelets. Responsibilities: POSITION SUMMARY:  The Staff Accountant is responsible for accounting responsibilities including preparing routine journal entries, preparing standard account reconciliations, preparing regulatory filings, and preparing financial reporting.       DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and analyze financial results for ManagementComplete monthly/quarterly/annual regulatory filingsMaintain process documentation and ensure internal control compliancePrepare information for internal and external auditPrepare Plant Capacity Utilization Report - Quarterly & AnnuallyAssist with Material Master CostingAssist with Budget FilesPrepare and post journal entries as a part of month-end close proceduresProcess Month End Close CyclesBackup for Cost AccountantResearch General Ledger activitySpecial projects as assigned Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience1 - 2 years of accounting-related experienceTechnology skills, including MS Office (specifically Excel) and ERP Systems, preferably SAPAttention to detail, data integrity and accuracyStrong analytical and critical thinking ability The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the work and may not include all the duties associated with this position.  #firstinpeople
