Role Purpose Statement This role leads the charge in shaping the region's infrastructure, driving strategic capital planning, overseeing high-impact construction projects, and ensuring top-tier kitchen equipment specifications. It also serves as the gatekeeper for capital and expense project approvals, ensuring every investment enhances performance and efficiency across all Customer Service Centers (CSCs). Main Accountabilities Ensure control, design and construction, and continuous improvement of infrastructure operation performance standards, policies and strategies Lead from inception to completion all expense and capital improvement projects, facilities and equipment capital purchases, operations and engineering assessments, utilities, process optimization, equipment and facility standardization, re-engineering and resource conservation/sustainability and environmental remediation initiatives within all CSCs. Implement and drive best facility design and construction industry practices and processes across all regional CSCs. Oversee all construction pre-implementation estimates for assigned projects and sustainability and environmental compliance actions. Directs communication with senior levels regarding major project progress, budget status, changes, regulatory or permitting issues. Accountable for on-time and on-budget project performance. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies with the responsibility to research and communicate regulatory requirements that impact the business Communicates with senior level on all budget status, major projects, and changes, regulatory and permitting issues. Interact with external agencies and project participants to effect permitting and incorporate requirements for environmental and other State City and local government regulations, and Airport and municipal standards relative to project implementation Participate in the development and publishing of guidelines for facilities engineering and environmental/sustainability systems and update project management materials. Document best practices and new standards and ensuring they are incorporated into Facilities and Equipment Standards. Develop and deploy maintenance management materials and deliver training to field and external personnel regarding standards and procedures. Develop and train management staff to meet maintenance, environmental, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Americans with Disability Act (ADA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and government regulations and Company facility standards on systems, buildings, electrical, mechanical and equipment. Guide, motivate and develop the directly and indirectly subordinate employees Plan, implement and control the cost and project budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations Knowledge, Skills and Experience Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, or equivalent experience required; Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred In addition, seven to ten years experience in engineering, maintenance, process improvements, food and/or manufacturing environment, equipment and regulations required Project Management Professional (PMP) experience in construction required Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma or American Institute of Architects (AIA) license preferred Ability to lead large ($5M+) projects Strong knowledge of governmental regulations, permitting process, real estate and property transaction issues, Environmental (EPA, State and Local) Regulations, FDA, ADA and USDA regulations Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications; knowledge of Procore construction managementpreferred Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to interact at senior levels May require up to 70% travel LSG Sky Chefs is an EEO and Affirmative Action Employer of Women/Minorities/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
